Open Lithuanian K-1 Amateur Championship in Lithuania – a Record Number of Participants and Spectacular Fights

On November 22, Open Lithuanian K-1 Amateur Championship held in Lithuania, Vilkaviskis drew a record number of competitors. More than 200 fighters from 25 Lithuanian clubs stepped into the ring, along with participants from Spain, Armenia, and Latvia – making it one of the largest events of its kind in the country in recent years.

The tournament featured both the strongest experienced fighters in Lithuania and the most promising young talent. The bouts began at 10 a.m. and continued until 10 p.m. Spectators enjoyed an intense day of action – powerful knockouts, hard-fought battles, and several extra rounds when judges needed additional time to determine the winner.

Organizers emphasized that the success of the event was greatly influenced by the support of the local community. Sincere thanks were extended to the Vilkaviskis city administration, the Vilkaviskis Sports Center team, the “Spartan” sports club coach, and all athletes who contributed to making this tournament possible.

The Open Lithuanian K-1 Amateur Championship once again proved that combat sports are rapidly growing in popularity in Lithuania and that athletes’ skill levels continue to rise. Both participants and spectators are already eagerly awaiting next year’s tournament.
